Project Background The rebranding of Transport for West Midlands is part of the mayor of the West Midlands vision for a clear, simpler approach in how integrated transport branding & information is presented. As part of the project to develop a family of branding systems inspired by the world-famous roundel system used by Transport for London and predecessor organisations since the 20th Century. In summary, the presentation was transitioned from Network West Midlands brand used since 2006 (with a light blue circle with a lower case "n") into Transport for West Midlands identity (a group of purple diamond shapes within a hexagonal shape, using different colour variations linked with different transport modes.) During the transition period, the name West Midlands Network was shown temporarily between 2018-2021.
