Over the period of recent months I have taken part in meetings, community events was an awareness panelist University of Birmingham: School of Education participation panel For the first time, I became a panelist at a study event focusing on research related to autism awareness. This was part of the University of Birmingham's study event. Involvement sharing my experiences & challenges when involved in research and Developing projects and information for my awareness initiative Plus Value Awareness The intention is to gain stronger connections and spread the word on developments of what I have been involved with related to design, awareness of disability and transport matters. Transport Heath & Safety meeting Located at the headquarters of transport for West Midlands Through the back end of the previous year's Commonwealth games, I was invited to a meeting to address issues on the challenges of navigating through public transport and the safety challenges for different patience levels, attitudes and judgments from passengers and staff on public transport. View the KMC Update blog for more on this event Levelling Up and Disability in the West Mids The Event was organised by West Midlands Combined Authority at the Sense offices in South Birmingham A community participation event involves a different representative of various organisations in the community and from Public Authorities in the region. This covers areas such as health & safety, transport, housing & communities along with skills & employment. Keith Mckenzie Keith is an awareness campaigner, a creative designer (Graphic design and digital art) and a salsa dancing participant With a background in Art & Design (including Graphic Design & Digital art) and a participant in music-related film documentaries, events & record label & project King Of the Beats including filming and behind the scene preparations. Keith was educated at Hereford College of the Arts, the University of Northampton, Birmingham City University and Google's Digital Garage. Since 2000, he has developed over twenty years in providing awareness projects, campaigns and activities with the Awareness brand Plus Value Awareness along with Differences Originals. Also are involved with salsa classes in the local community as an assistant. Also have participated in major dancing conventions twice a year at Birmingham's NEC for Birmingham Latinmotion and London's ManboCity. In 2022, Keith become a featured community participant for Birmingham who became part of special projects and campaigns to promote a positive legacy beyond hosting the commonwealth games.

An online special feature was developed to encourage hidden differences to dance regardless of ability or difficulties. The embrace dancing features combines specialised projects and features online and social media along with a variety of development I have been involved in related to dancing activities and environments This is presented with special index pages for the embrace dancing feature which appears both on this website and on the plus value awareness websites. Originally it was developed as a pop-up feature or supporting two dancing awareness events in April including autism don't stay and international dance day. After these events, the feature continued to be available online throughout April and May. However, after receiving several comments and feedback it was decided that this online special remains permanently year round and we'll be updated annually every April. Developed for autism dance day and International Day Supporting these events for the first time, especially dancing-related developments was made. Dancing video for support campaign Specially developed for supporting autism dance day espresso dancing video was created and involved me and a well-respected professional dancer and teacher Jayne Emily Turpin. It was also featured in the official Autism Dance Day video campaign compilations by Anna Kennedy Online. You can view the video on my Instagram page Also, a new information project elements have been made for the plus value awareness website. As part of the inclusive differences project, inclusive to dance covers a summary of information to enable inclusivity in a dancing environment for a person with hidden differences. You can view the "inclusive to dance" mini-project element by visiting the project page via the Plus value awareness website Other aspects to explore Also featured on the embrace dancing feature other kinds of dancing related dancing developments are available to access which I was involved in or have developed by me Video campaign featuring me As part of a video campaign developed in 2022 to showcase Birmingham's legacy since hosting the commonwealth games I was fated in the video campaign as a community participant. The video features me dancing to some salsa and bachata. I was also interviewed about my involvement as a dancing assistant and my environment at two dancing conventions at the NEC related to salsa, bachata kizomba and Cuban salsa. Dancing Direction A link to a mini online feature on my main website which highlights some of my dancing-related projects and developments. This ranges from my wall as a dancing assistant in communities, my informants at salsa dancing conventions, creative and marketing projects for community dancing classes and studios, providing detailed solutions to improve inclusivity and digital resources to improve learning specificity for visual learners (and those with short-term memory challenges). Regardless on the type of difficulties a person live with they are understood, supported and encouraged they can do many positivity to which can benefit society and other hidden differences through their expertise, lived experiences and from there personal insight. Not only it relates to their life expectancies but also subjects and situations that they're fully knowledgeable about.
